The goal of the social justice committee at Temple Beit Torah will be to engage in activities that not only bring our reform synagogue to the attention of the community but to do what we can to make the world a better place not only in Colorado Springs but in the state, the country and indeed the world.

Thank all of you who were able to contribute to our drive to help World Central Kitchen. We collected over $500.00. I also want to thank those who could not contribute financially but were so supportive of the effort. We always need to be one another’s cheerleaders.
Please mark your calendar for Friday December 13th. On that night in place of Shabbat services we will present a movie called An American Winter. It is a documentary that shows what happens to the lives of middle class people when they are suddenly faced with poverty. As we generously contribute to care and share, or Family Promise, or Partners in Housing, it is important to put a face on those in need – it could be you or me. Please bring a dessert to share. I hope you will join us.

As we reach out as a congregation, we can heal the world one kind deed at a time.
